What are some common items you dispose of?

We frequently dispose of paper, plastic, glass, furniture and general household waste. We also provide disposal of yard waste and storm debris, as well as construction and remodeling materials.

What can I NOT put in the dumpster?

There are some items we simply do not have the resources to dispose of, per EPA guidelines. Those items include, but are not limited to:

If you require disposal of the outlined, non-permitted items, consult with us and we will direct you to the proper agency for discarding. You can also browse the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (Swaco.org) for disposal sites and information.

Do you recycle?

When possible, we do recycle cardboard, wood, metal and plastic.

How does the dumpster get delivered?

What would prohibit a dumpster from being delivered?

We cannot DELIVER your dumpster and you will be charged a fee IF:

• Any vehicles, or materials are blocking access.
• There are low tree branches or low power lines.
• The area is uneven, or at a steep incline.

What would prohibit a dumpster pick-up?

We cannot PICK-UP your dumpster and you will be charged a trip fee IF:

• Any vehicles, or materials are blocking access.
• Your dumpster is filled over the sidewall.
• Loaded with prohibited items, or is loaded with heavy materials (i.e. dirt, brick, stone, concrete, etc.) and overweight, unless previous arrangements were made.

Are there weight restrictions, or how full is too full?

Yes! DO NOT fill the dumpster above the dumpster fill line notated on the container. If filled to exceed in either height or weight, an $80 minimum fee will be applied per ton.

Can I move the dumpster once it is dropped off?

NO! The dumpster should only be moved by a designated Dumpster Guys, LLC employee, unless a previous arrangement has been agreed upon. Unauthorized relocation of the dumpster will result in a $150.00 additional charge.

Can I put the dumpster on the street?

Each municipality has different regulations and permit requirements concerning dumpster placement. Contact your local municipality and they will provide you with the necessary guidelines. Dumpster Guys, LLC is not responsible for obtaining permits.

What size dumpster do I need?

The size of the dumpster you will need is going to depend on the size of your project. We offer 15, 20 and 25 yard dumpsters. Recommendations are available on our website, (see pricing guidelines) or you can contact us and one of experienced customer service representatives will be happy to assist you.

What is your service area?

We are happy to serve the greater Columbus area, including London, West Jefferson, Springfield, Columbus, Hilliard, Grove City, Washington Courthouse, and Circleville.

What if I need to change or cancel my order?

You will acquire no charge, as long as we receive a 24 hour notice. If notice is not received 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment, you will be charged a $100.00 cancellation or rescheduling fee.

What happens if my driveway is damaged by a dumpster?

We are NOT responsible for any asphalt, concrete, or any damages done to your driveway that is caused by a dumpster.

What are your hours?

Our hours are Monday – Friday, 8 am – 6 pm. Emergency service is available.
